Basketball’s next generation takes center stage as the 2026 NBA Draft streams live in the Philippines on June 24 and 25.

The confetti has barely settled on the 2025-26 NBA season.

After an NBA Playoffs run for the ages, the New York Knicks are champions, closing the book on one of the league’s most memorable postseason battles in recent years. But in the NBA, the grind does not stop. One season ends, and the next generation is already waiting to hear its name called.

The 2026 NBA Draft will stream live exclusively on Disney+ in the Philippines, giving fans a front-row seat as the league’s next wave of stars takes the first major step in their NBA careers.

Set over two days, the draft will air on June 24 and 25, 2026, starting at 8:00 AM Philippine Time. Viewers can catch the action live and on demand exclusively on Disney+.

So why will the 2026 NBA Draft be held over two days?

The two-day format gives teams a little more breathing room between rounds. After the first round, front offices get an overnight reset to look at who is still available, revisit trade talks, weigh roster needs, and avoid cramming every major decision into one long, chaotic night.

It also gives the second round a proper spotlight. In the old one-night format, second-round picks could easily get buried late in the broadcast, especially after the biggest names were already off the board. By giving the second round its own day, more players get their moment, and fans get more time to follow the stories behind the picks.

History has shown that some of the NBA’s biggest stars have come from the second round. Two-time MVP Nikola Jokić was selected 41st overall in the second round of the 2014 NBA Draft, famously during a Taco Bell commercial that aired instead of his draft announcement. Newly minted Knicks legend, NBA champion, and 2026 NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson was drafted 33rd overall in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Draymond Green, Four-time NBA champion and longtime defensive anchor of the Golden State Warriors, was selected 35th overall in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft. Spurs legend and four-time champion Manu Ginóbili was drafted 57th overall in the second round of the 1999 NBA Draft.

Those picks are reminders that draft-night headlines do not always tell the whole story. Sometimes the players selected after the spotlight fades end up becoming the ones who leave the biggest mark on the league. For basketball fans, the two-day format also makes the draft easier to follow from start to finish. Instead of rushing through every selection in a single marathon broadcast, viewers get more time to take in the picks, follow the storylines, and see how teams shape their futures. Every selection comes with possibility, pressure, and the kind of instant analysis that turns group chats into war rooms before breakfast. Very healthy behavior, obviously.

The 2026 NBA Draft also continues Disney+’s growing presence as a destination for live sports content in the Philippines, bringing one of the NBA calendar’s biggest events directly to subscribers.

Whether you are tracking the next superstar, watching how your team builds for the future, or just showing up for the draft-night chaos, the 2026 NBA Draft will be available live and on demand on Disney+.
