Ahn Hyo-seop Leads High-Stakes Culinary Drama ‘FINAL TABLE’ Streaming October 24 on Prime Video!

Ahn Hyo-seop is stepping into the kitchen for his first chef role in Prime Video’s upcoming culinary drama “Final Table,” which premieres exclusively on October 24 in the Philippines and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The series pairs the “Business Proposal” and “Dr. Romantic” star with Hong Hwa-yeon and Chang Ryul in a story that combines a high-stakes cooking competition with rivalries, personal histories, and relationships that begin to change as the contestants are pushed to their limits.
“Final Table” centers on “The Table: K-Chef 2026,” a competition that gathers Korean chefs from around the world in search of the country’s finest chef. Among them is Kang Han, a Korean-born world-class chef known professionally as Chris K., who has built his career overseas while keeping much of his background shrouded in mystery. Following a certain incident, he becomes head chef at Famiglia and enters the competition, bringing him into direct conflict with some of the country’s most formidable culinary talents.
Hong Hwa-yeon stars as Choi Song-yi, the only daughter of Choi Seung-hyo, described as the godfather of Western cuisine in Korea. Song-yi is struggling to keep her late father’s failing restaurant, Famiglia, alive when she crosses paths with Kang Han, setting up a meeting that could change both of their lives. Chang Ryul, meanwhile, plays Cha Woo-jin, a perfectionist star chef who has built his reputation on precision and refuses to settle for anything less than excellence. Six years earlier, Chris K. handed Woo-jin the only defeat of his career, and their reunion gives the competition an even more personal edge.
While the series is built around the pressure of culinary competition, “Final Table” also places plenty of emphasis on the people behind the dishes. As the contestants continue to push one another through each round, their rivalries begin giving way to unexpected connections and a growing sense of care. Prime Video describes the series as a warm survival drama about people who enter determined to win but eventually find themselves helping mend one another’s wounds along the way.
The role marks a new kind of transformation for Ahn Hyo-seop, whose previous projects include “Sold Out On You,” “Dr. Romantic” Seasons 2 and 3, “Business Proposal,” and “KPop Demon Hunters.” “Final Table” is written and directed by Kim Doh-hoon, whose previous credits include “Moon Embracing the Sun,” “Chimera,” and “Medical Top Team,” and is produced by SLL, B.A. Entertainment, and DZoongFilm.
“Final Table” premieres exclusively on Prime Video on October 24.
