Puregold CinePanalo and Canon Philippines formalize their partnership for the 2026
run of the much-awaited film festival. Manila, Philippines - The Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, one of the country’s groundbreaking platforms for emerging storytellers, has announced its official partnership with Canon Marketing Philippines for its 2026 edition.
Now on its third year, Puregold CinePanalo continues to champion Filipino creativity by seeking collaborations that push the boundaries of storytelling and production.

A global leader in imaging solutions, Canon has long been committed to empowering creative communities. Its partnership with Puregold CinePanalo reflects the brand’s dedication to nurturing Filipino talent.
“At Canon, we believe creativity thrives when passion is met with the right tools and support,” said Jian Liu, Director of Canon’s Consumer Imaging and Information Division. “By providing access to our professional cinema cameras and recognizing outstanding works, we aim to inspire the next generation of filmmakers.”

next generation of Filipino storytellers.
Under the partnership, Canon will grant camera and lens support to finalists in the Student Shorts category and host a cinematography workshop with IM Rentals, led by a top industry expert. The company will also present a special award during the festival’s Awards Night to celebrate exceptional visual storytelling.

formally ink the agreement solidifying their shared advocacy for excellence in filmmaking.
Since its debut in 2024, Puregold CinePanalo has produced several award-winning films that revel in Filipino creativity. For its 2026 run, the festival will offer the largest production grant in Philippine film festival history: ₱5 million each for seven full-length films and ₱200,000 each for twenty student shorts.
Puregold CinePanalo 2026 will run at the Gateway Cineplex 18, as well as select Ayala Cinemas.

Canon Marketing Philippines hopes to nurture the creativity of Puregold CinePanalo
filmmakers by providing them with the right tools and equipment.
