"COVEN ACADEMY" Trailer Brings Magic, Mystery and Romance Ahead of October 2 Disney+ Philippines Premiere!

Disney+ has released the official trailer for “Coven Academy,” a new supernatural teen drama from executive producer Tim Federle that premieres October 2 in the Philippines. The entire season will be available to stream on Disney+ Philippines at launch, with the series unfolding through fast-paced chapters designed to pull audiences deeper into its world of magic, mystery, and romance.

The trailer introduces Briar, played by Malina Weissman, a fiercely independent New Yorker who discovers that she is a witch and must learn how to control her newfound powers. Her arrival also places her at the center of a turbulent love triangle involving Jake, a magnetic warlock played by Malachi Barton, and Ollie, a newly turned vampire played by Louis Thresher. Set to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Brutal,” the trailer also teases the attention Briar quickly attracts from the other young supernatural students around her.

Set in the haunted heart of New Orleans, “Coven Academy” follows three teenage witches and their dangerously charming warlock peers at an elite magical boarding school where power is currency, secrets can be lethal, and attraction can become a liability. As ancient supernatural conflicts collide with forbidden romances, the young coven must decide how far they are willing to go to protect their city and themselves.

Alongside Weissman, Barton, and Thresher, the series stars Jordan Leftwich as Sasha, an empathic student who can read minds; Ora Duplass as Tegan, an irreverent witch with the ability to manipulate time; and Tiffani Thiessen as Miss Graves, the formidable and glamorous head of the school. Devon Sawa also appears as special guest star Mr. Cole, a brilliant and charismatic warlock professor.

The recurring cast includes Swayam Bhatia as McKenna, Brendon Tremblay as Alexander, Keegan Connor Tracy as Tamora, BJ Harrison as Agnes, and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre as Teese.

Tim Federle, whose credits include “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” created “Coven Academy” and serves as executive producer alongside Darren Swimmer, Todd Slavkin, Amanda Row, and Bronwyn North-Reist. The series is produced by Federle’s Chorus Boy Productions in association with Disney Kids & Family.
