Netflix Philippines Unveils October 2026 Lineup Packed With Thrillers, Anime and Returning Favorites

Netflix Philippines is loading up October with a mix of thrillers, returning series, anime, Asian dramas, and lighter comfort viewing, giving subscribers plenty to jump into throughout the month.

Leading the October lineup is “Balarin: Blood Island,” Netflix Philippines’ featured title for the month. The new release arrives October 23 and follows a woman searching for her missing mother on an isolated island, where strange events and buried secrets begin to surface. Thriller fans will have several other options throughout October. “East of Eden” launches October 1, while “Elon” and “Animals” arrive later in the month. Returning favorites include “Haunted Hotel” Season 2 and “Is It Cake? Halloween” Season 2 on October 3, while “The Diplomat” returns for its fourth season on October 16.

For viewers looking for something lighter, Netflix is also bringing back several familiar series. “Midnight Girls” arrives October 1, while “Nobody Wants This” returns for Season 3 later in the month. The October slate also includes more comedy and relationship-driven titles alongside the heavier thrillers and horror releases.

Anime fans have their own batch of returning shows, including “The Ramparts of Ice” Season 2, “Blue Box” Season 2, and “Ranma 1/2” Season 3. The month also brings new Asian titles such as “Take Charge of My Heart” and “No Easy Deception,” adding romance and drama to the mix. With Halloween approaching, Netflix’s October slate naturally leans into darker stories, supernatural mysteries, suspense, and horror, but the lineup still leaves plenty of space for comedy, romance, anime, and returning fan favorites.
