"STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK IN CONCERT" Comes to Manila this August from Film Concerts PH!

MANILA, Philippines — July 2025 — Following the rousing success of Star Wars: A New Hope In Concert in 2024, Film Concerts PH proudly presents its latest cinematic-symphonic event: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back In Concert. The highly anticipated production will be held at The Theatre at Solaire on August 30 and 31, 2025, featuring a newly-scheduled performance due to overwhelming demand.

Audiences will be transported to a galaxy far, far away as the Filharmonika Orchestra, under the baton of acclaimed conductor Gerard Salonga, performs John Williams’s legendary score live, in perfect synchronization with the film projected in its entirety. Presented in high-definition on a massive screen, this event allows fans both old and new to experience the second chapter of the original Star Wars trilogy in a completely immersive format.

The Empire Strikes Back, originally released in 1980, is widely regarded as one of the greatest sequels in cinematic history. With scenes ranging from the icy plains of Hoth to the cloud cities of Bespin, the film introduces some of the franchise’s most memorable moments—including the debut of Yoda, the dramatic confrontation between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, and the introduction of the now-iconic “Imperial March.”

Performance Schedule:

• August 30, 2025 – 6:00 PM

• August 31, 2025 – 2:00 PM (Matinee Performance)

• August 31, 2025 – 7:30 PM (Encore Performance)

• Venue: The Theatre at Solaire, Parañaque City

The concert will retain all original film dialogue and sound effects, with the live orchestra providing a sweeping, heart-pounding rendition of the full score—bringing new emotional depth to the viewing experience.
