The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but Peter Parker has not forgotten the world.

The new trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived, giving fans a fresh look at Tom Holland’s return as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. This time, Peter is fighting crime full-time in a world where no one remembers who he is, not even the people closest to him.

It is a lonely new chapter for the web-slinger, and the trailer leans into that tension.

Watch the trailer here:

Peter is still trying to protect the city, but the pressure of watching his old friends move forward without him begins to spark a change he may not be able to control. For a hero who has already lost so much, Brand New Day appears to be pushing him into even more uncertain emotional territory.

The film also introduces a shocking new threat to the city and the people Peter loves: a powerful villain no one can even see. That unseen enemy adds a new layer of danger to Peter’s already complicated life, forcing Spider-Man to confront a battle where even knowing what he is up against may be part of the problem.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a screenplay by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes, based on the Marvel comic book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Rachel O’Connor serve as producers, with Louis D’Esposito and David Cain as executive producers.

The new film marks another major turning point for Holland’s Spider-Man, whose story continues after the world’s memory of Peter Parker was erased. With Peter now standing alone, Brand New Day looks set to explore what happens when the hero keeps fighting for people who no longer know what he sacrificed for them.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into Philippine cinemas on July 29. Tickets are available now.
