Tom Cruise’s ‘DIGGER’ Drops Final Trailer, Sets New Philippine Opening Date to October 2!

Academy Award winner Tom Cruise is heading back to the big screen this October in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s latest film, “Digger.”

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the final trailer for the upcoming film, while also announcing a new Philippine opening date of October 2, 2026.
“Digger” follows the most powerful man in the world as he embarks on a frantic mission to prove that he is humanity’s savior before a disaster of his own making destroys everything.
Cruise stars in the title role alongside an ensemble cast that includes Oscar winner Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Oscar nominee Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Oscar nominee Jesse Plemons. Robert John Burke, Emma D’Arcy, Burn Gorman, and Sophie Wilde also appear in the film.
The movie marks the latest project from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu, who directs from a screenplay written by Iñárritu, Alexander Dinelaris, Nicolás Giacobone, and Sabina Berman, based on a story by Iñárritu and Berman. Iñárritu also produces the film alongside Mary Parent, Tom Cruise, and Michael Sharp. Joshua Grode, Berman, Dinelaris, Giacobone, Jez Butterworth, and Emmanuel Lubezki serve as executive producers.
The filmmaker also reunites with several previous collaborators behind the camera, including Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. The creative team also includes editors Conor O’Neill and Stephen Mirrione, costume designer Jacqueline West, makeup and hair designer Alessandro Bertolazzi, casting director Francine Maisler, production designers Dennis Gassner and Richard Johnson, prosthetic makeup designer Kazu Hiro, and composer Cosmo Sheldrake.
“Digger” was shot entirely in VistaVision and will be released in theaters and IMAX worldwide. “Digger” opens in Philippine cinemas on October 2, 2026.
